Rain or shine: ECE Charity Cricket Event 2024

Cricket fever returned, even in the rain, as we hosted our 5th Charity Cricket Event. Despite the weather, it was another unforgettable day and a highlight of the year for everyone involved.

Battling through the drizzle, teams from across the industry came together at the Friends of Arundel Castle Cricket Ground, all in support of Chestnut Tree House Children’s Hospice.

Thanks to the dedication and generosity of everyone who participated and contributed, we’re thrilled to announce that over £7,300 was raised to support the hospice’s incredible work for children and their families.

In a nail-biting final, Thakeham claimed victory over Bouygues UK, earning well-deserved bragging rights. Congratulations are also in order for all the teams who competed – your efforts on the pitch made the day one to remember.

After the final match, Stuart Eatock, Managing Director at ECE Architecture, took to the stage to deliver the thank-you speech to all the participants, sponsors, and supporters. The event wrapped up with a moving speech from Alison Taylor of Chestnut Tree House, who spoke about the life-changing impact corporate fundraising has on their work, followed by the popular charity raffle offering some fantastic prizes.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make the day a success, despite the rainy conditions, and to all those who contributed to supporting such an important cause.

Thank you!
