ECE submit proposals to redevelop the Pelham Street Campus for Greater Brighton Metropolitan College.

ECE Architecture has been working with Greater Brighton Metropolitan College (GBMC) to develop proposals that will consolidate and improve the college’s facilities.

Following detailed analysis of their existing facilities, ECE proposals will construct 2700m2 of new accommodation on the college car park, creating a new college entrance and teaching accommodation for the Creative Industries and Hair & Beauty courses.

Utilising new and re-purposed accommodation allows the college to dispose of Cheapside, Trafalgar, York and Gloucester buildings for residential development to part fund the development.

The project creates a new open space for the benefit of staff, student and the public, with a ‘shop front’ for service industry curriculum provision.

A hybrid planning application has been submitted to Brighton and Hove City Council.
