ECE Annual Sustainability Report 2024
Over the past year, ECE has taken important strides towards decarbonisation and sustainability, embracing both the need for immediate action and the long-term transformation of the built environment.
We are proud to share our Annual Sustainability Report for 2024, showcasing ECE’s growth and commitment to creating a more sustainable future. This year, we have made progress in reducing our carbon footprint, enhancing biodiversity, and advancing the adoption of Passivhaus standards in our projects.
Key highlights include:
- Passivhaus Design: We have strengthened our expertise, with three certified designers now leading our efforts to deliver low-energy, high-comfort buildings. Our Victoria Road project, set to start in late 2024, will be our first Passivhaus development.
- Carbon Reduction Plan: We are targeting Net Zero by 2030 through a comprehensive strategy of energy audits, waste reduction, sustainable procurement, and ongoing education for our teams and clients.
- Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG): With BNG regulations now mandatory, we’re integrating green spaces and habitats into all new developments, aiming to leave the natural environment in a better state than before.
These developments reflect our drive to push boundaries and address the Climate Emergency.
We hope this report provides inspiration and insight into the steps we are taking as we continue to evolve our practice in response to the Climate Emergency.
