Situated in Wivelsfield Green, this development is designed to complement the character of its village setting and the broader rural landscape. The project provides seven new homes, including a mix of 2, 3, and 4-bedroom houses, each uniquely tailored to the specific site constraints.
Drawing inspiration from the architectural vernacular of Wivelsfield Green, the design respects the site’s setting by using materials and styles reflective of neighbouring properties and the wider area. This sensitivity to local context is not just aesthetic but functional, providing homes that feel intrinsically part of the village’s fabric.
The proposal prioritises practical living spaces, maximising the use of natural light and creating a seamless connection with the outdoors.
The homes will be constructed with energy efficiency in mind, designed to meet the Association for Environment Conscious Building (AECB) CarbonLite Building Standard which will represent an overall reduction in CO2 emissions by 70% when compared to the UK average for residential building.
When completed, Slugwash Lane will provide residential spaces that are architecturally striking, environmentally conscious, and community-centric.
